Call for Papers - Special Issue on 'New Statistical Methods in the Context of Energy Transition'

Over the next decades, many aspects of our daily life will be affected by decisions about the organization of the future energy transition. Alleviating the effects of climate change, protecting the environment and natural resources, and increasing awareness of the limited reserves of fossil energies call for new economic policies and technological solutions, which will require public participation and acceptance to be successful. Specifically, it is crucial that the benefits of these measures outweigh any potential adverse impacts they may have in the future on factors such as employment or energy expenses. The special issue seeks contributions that go in that direction.

Our spokesperson Roland Fried (projects A04 and B02) and one of our project leaders Florian Ziel (project C02) will be guest editors in the mentioned Special Issue on 'New Statistical Methods in the Context of Energy Transition' in the Journal of Economics and Statistics (Jahrbücher für Nationalökonomie und Statistik).
